TIII Composite Deck Screw Color Coordination Guide
Color Coordination Chart : (How does the color coordination chart work?)
Important Note: We have made our best effort to recommend coordinating screw color choices that we feel, you, the end user, would have selected yourself had you been presented with the same alternatives. Nevertheless, it should be considered that the coordination of colors is a very subjective process. It is strongly recommended that you request free samples of our product, which we will mail promptly to you, to assure your acceptance of our recommendations.

How does the Color Coordination Chart work:

Titan Metal Werks has requested actual deck board samples from all of the known composite decking manufacturers. *Where a screw color recommendation is made, we have received and compared these samples to our available standard screw colors. It should be further noted that composite decking samples, in some cases, may vary by batch run. Some manufacturers also caution that their composite deck boards may fade after exposure to the outdoors. Finally, the exterior exposure of decking boards and screws, to the elements, will cause a film to develop which will cause them to dull in appearance over time. All of our color choice selections have been made with new un-weathered product.

The color coordination chart that follows indicates the decking Manufacturers Name/ Brand/Series/Color of decking, followed by our recommended screw color and a five point coordination rating, wherein a "" located in the center position indicates that the screw coordinates "well" with the decking.  "" located to the left indicate the shade of screw recommended will be "darker", increasing in variance as their location moves left. "Stars" located to the right indicate the shade of screw recommended will be "lighter", increasing in variance as their location moves right . See graphic below:

Following this overall coordination indicator, if significant, will be a color comment. This comment refers to the color hue of the screw and how it may vary from the actual decking sample.

N/A = If, in our opinion, there was no acceptable Titan screw color available, we have marked the selection “NA” (Not Available) in the screw color area and have left the overall coordinationn indicator blank.

999 = This numeric identifier is used in place of a recommended Titan screw color in instances where we have requested but have not yet received actual deck board samples from the manufacturer.

* = Deck boards indicated with an asterisks are Cellular PVC type deck board products that may not require the use of a screw designed for typical wood/plastic composite decking. These products were still compared to our composite screw line.

If you are a composite decking manufacturer who is not listed in our comparison, has made changes to your line or is missing specific decking color information, please contact Titan Metal Werks Inc at (847) 459-5369. Composite decking manufacturers were not involved in the decision making process conducted in the formulation of our results and an implied recommendation should not be assumed.
